Although i only rode STP once, it has been a part of the fabric of my life since about 1990 when my husband rode his first STP. Then my sons rode, and my husband rode, and they all rode, and some of them rode, so I had to as well.. I have also been responsible for following them and their friends with all their gear and of course being at the finish line for close to a dozen STP's now. I've seen the skateboard guy, the unicycle guys (there were more than 1 one year) and the old guys on the beater 1 speed bikes and all the other goofiness.
The persons I wanted to punch were the jerks who threw tacks in the road near spanaway more than one year...
I would have loved to see everyone dismounting and pushing their bikes up a steep street off Hwy 30.
For me Hwy 30 WAS the worst. all the highway grime, cars zooming by going 60+ mph.
once we got into the city proper though, I was stoked, i loved that part; but I like riding in the city
Congrats you guys!!
