Just blew a tire.. not sure how/why?

You can use a 700C tube in a 24" tire. Just neatly fold over the excess length and jam it in there. You won't feel the lumps when riding, but after a few years the tube will perish at the folds.

Really? I might try that for now.. I have a few extras laying around. Then I can actually test ride this really cute thing... I built most of it up last night, all I have left are a few details like bar tape

Sure, go for it! What's the worst that could happen? Maybe lose a 700C tube?

Sure is exciting to near completion of a fun bike project!
