I don't take trash talk from Catriona and we often have fist fights.
    Just another day.

Catriona, Scar is smoking! Those Trek 800 series frames hold up well as commuter/beater bikes. I have my Xtracycle built on a Trek 820 and I love it.

Oh, well, carry on then! I thought this was a fist fight between Scar and Miss Plum. My misunderstanding. By all means, beat each other senseless!

    Great bike!

I love how you matter-of-factly say "I switched this, I changed that"; what does your spare parts box look like?
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

Wait... Spare parts are supposed to be able to fit in just one box???

Unfortunately, mine stopped being able to do that a while back. There are a lot of parts that I'm saving for various builds.

One of these days I'm making a touring bike. I have everything but the fork and possibly the frame scrounged.

I didn't have those tires in a box, but couldn't resist them once I saw them.

Scar was $80 on craigslist - the drive train looked mostly unused, it looks like the bike has moved with the family a couple of times - the teeth on the cranks have no wear - but I'm not sure how much wear old steel cranks showed?

The original seatpost was steel and the seat was huge - so I think I lost like 3 lbs off scar just switching those off. I needed a setback - but he was a funny 26.6 mm size.

I may one day buy him a longer stem.

I let her win when I want some pie.
