For me, today was just about getting more comfortable in the water. Didn't even count laps - did some basic Total Immersion balance drills, swam steady for about half an hour, a couple more drills before I wrapped it up.
It felt good. I was even doing some bilateral breathing which I've really NEVER done. I suppose when I first learned to swim, the instructors would've had me breathe from both sides, but I don't remember ever doing it.
And I hardly swallowed any pool water!
If you knew the lake where they're doing the OWS, this is a VERY, VERY important thing to learn.
