I'd really love to do this again.
I biked and swam all last fall and I was in fantastic shape for it. Then winter came and I was just swimming-- I fell in love with swimming and didn't get back on my bike.
However! I gained about 8 lbs in that time... went from 148 to 156 time to get back on the bike! I get so frustrated with myself-- I can be in the midst of amazing training and being in wonderful shape and then slowly fall off the bandwagon.I'm working hard and have been for the last few weeks... lifting weights every three days and then walking at least 1-2 hours per day 5 days a week or so.
Tomorrow, I will get back on the bike for the first time this year. I've been leg pressing 160 lbs + body weight though so hopefully I haven't lost any leg strength!
I guess last fall I probably just burned myself out swimming 45 minutes every morning and then biking 50-100 miles a week on top of a demanding job and other school activities. Le sigh. Back to work!
Starting weight 156. Goal weight 150.
