Yeah, I'm normally a little red, but not THAT red.
I did want to give props to my running capris that I wore that day, though. It was the first time I'd worn them and I was amazed at how cool my legs felt while running! They are these from Nike (on sale):

I have issues with shorts rubbing between my legs, so capris are usually the most comfortable for me. BUT, I also overheat easily (I'd move to Alaska if my southerner husband would go with me) so I'm usually pretty miserable with black fabric on my legs. These were totally different. They breathe well, they wick well, the mesh on the back of the knees is awesome and they didn't start to fall down which often happens when you have huge legs and a small waist/hips. I think I need to order a second pair!!

This is a very personal question, but we do this all the time, so...Do you wear them commando, and do they creep into your crack if you do? I bought a pair of brooks compression-ish running shorts that I really like, but I wear a pair of running shorts over them because I would rather not share that much about my anatomy with others.
I usually wear tri shorts for running but when I'm at the gym, or we're traveling, I like to wear capris.
I wear my Zoot tri shorts all the time for running, biking, working with my trainer. I don't have that "issue" with them.

Yeah, I don't have that problem with my Zoots either, and this is actually one of the first pairs of shorts I *have* had the problem with, but I usually buy tri shorts. I put up with it the first couple times I ran in them, but it just made me feel like I had a giant wedgie, which doesn't happen in other shorts, then made me self conscious about wedgies and camel toes and I gave in and put other shorts on top. I can ignore the wedgie (I am good at knowing the difference between discomfort that will hurt later and discomfort that won't), but it did creep me out.![]()
Funny you should ask - I've spent my adult life in yoga pants or compression capris and shorts for athletics. They have always been more comfortable for me than baggy things so I have gotten accustomed to the 'lycra' look. When I started cycling, I never batted an eyelash at wearing lycra bike shorts, even on my super-sized rear end. BUT, until I started riding in chamois shorts, I always wore underwear. Now that I'm used to going commando, I'm not sure how to wear my other non-chamois bottoms now!
I even thought about it as I got dressed in those capris the other night but I opted to wear my underwear as I would typically do. I'll try them commando the next time and let you know if they go places they shouldn't. Based on the nice fabric and fit, I don't think they will. But again, I'm used to the butt hugging effect of lycra bottoms and it doesn't bother me in the least, so I might not be a good judge.

Oh, and I totally forgot about this until just now, but they must have looked pretty good on me.I had some muscle-y guy in a jeep honk at me and wave as he drove by...and he really only saw me from behind.

All this talk of "creepy butt" got paranoid about the pictures Thom took of me working out. Those sessions were when it was still cool and I was wearing my Brooks capris. The pictures don't show any "creepy butt." Thank goodness! I think black makes your butt look good.

Yeah, it took a lot for me to consider it. I'm pretty tolerant of the close to the skin clothing and actually prefer it (so much less chafing!!!) but it occurred to me when I switched back and forth between the new pair and my zoot tri shorts that they were possibly going where no short has gone before.![]()

I, too, cannot wear reg running shorts due to inner thigh rubbing. I always weat lycra thight fitting shorts, always commando. Never had any creeping up the butt. I do have problems finding running "tights" that are shorts & not capri length.
