What kind of moto is this?

I wish that I could figure out how to do inline images... but check this out. I see it outside the building I work in from time to time. I generally pay more attention to bicycles, but I really like this. Even better, I like the seatbag on this motorcycle. This bike has personality and I thought that there would be interest in this picture.

At first, before I looked at it, I thought it was a rather odd bicycle - till I noted the motor. And the gas tank Handlebars are pretty cool, and the mirror looks like mine though, of course, it isn't.

No wonder I couldn't quite figure out what it was - thanks! I actually didn't notice the pedals at first.

Good catch, Knot! I was googling "Tempus" and only coming up with a few references to a defunct Swedish builder. The bike in Catrin's pic doesn't look vintage, not only because key parts are so clean, but because of the reflectors etc. But it's obviously been tricked out to look more vintage than anything on the Stealth page.

    Pretty cool.

... what is the difference between a "moped" and a "motor-assisted bicycle," anyway? I've never been sure...

I tried looking for Tempus on Google as well. It looks even better in person!

Would the difference be the difference between this and a moped be the speeds and semi-bici drivetrain/brakes? I don't know anything about mopeds but noted that the examples on the page that Knotted found seemed to have at least some shared elements with bicycles.

I've a co-worker with a bike that has a "motor-assist" when he chooses to turn it on and it looks nothing like this - it just looks like a bike with a battery pack - basically.

Bikes with electric assist are more common than the ones with gas motors, but I see the gas ones occasionally.
