Ran about 3 today - it was more like a jog. It was 80 degrees, I am trying my darnedest to acclimate and be careful because I'm still in recovery. Also, my dog hates the heat, we stopped 3 times so she could pant in the shade for a minute, so I stretched my hip flexors/hamstrings.

I am racing a sprint tri (about 5 blocks from my house) this weekend. I will probably do yoga tomorrow and a quick check/test ride on Saturday. Haven't seen the water since Ironman, the local pool is STILL closed (and a week behind, so it won't be open until about the 19th). This race will basically be a "push hard as long as you can because it'll be over faster if you do" race. I will be wiggling on my VFF Sprints for the run - if they wear into the bottom of my feet without socks on, I will be looking to try the Bikila barefoot and stretch them so I can get them on fairly quickly. I know I can't wear the KSOs barefoot, even for 3 miles. If the Sprints or the Bikila don't work, I will have to *gasp* wear shoes or explore some flats.
