I'm still using it - and using it for the 24-hour stuff and brevets. I still get the empty-tummy hungry feeling after a few hours, but a few crackers, pringles or pretzels stop that, and the rest of my nutrition comes from the Infinit. I was planning on using the sliders for my blend, but they called me to help me dial it in. Totally worth it.

BTW, I have four blends I use - protein for long stuff, non-protein for shorter rides, both with and without caffeine.

I used it for a short while, back in 2008 when I was training for 2 triathlons. I ordered a custom blend (very mild flavor, no protein, slightly lower sodium) in the fruit punch flavor. I thought the taste was okay, but the one thing that kind of bugged me was that when I would add the water to the mix...it would get "foamy"...like soap bubbles on top. Sort of grossed me out, because every time I'd see the foam, I'd think I was drinking soapy water...and then my mind would tell me that it was tasting like soap. Weird, I know...what can I say?

Anyway...I haven't used the stuff since then. Infact, I still have an almost full bag of it sitting in my cupboard. Wonder if it's any good now?

Thanks for the comments in Infinit - I think that I need to try this, and am going to talk with them about it before choosing my blend. Glad to hear that it is good for brevets and other endurance events as this is exactly what I have in mind to use it for.

That's funny - I just read some FAQ's and the owner said that they could add something to prevent the foaming, but prefer not to add unnecessary chemicals. It's never bothered me, so I agreed - but now I see that it really could bother folks. Who knew!

I wonder if you've got enough protein in your blend? I've learned that when I get that feeling, it means I'm not getting enough protein. I really don't like to use soy protein (and whey is worse for me), but if I need to, I can go all day on Perpetuem and never get that feeling. (But I will get it if I eat only the protein-deficient solid foods that are usually offered on organized rides.)
