If you try shea butter, make sure you get PURE shea butter, not lotion products that may have ingredients that shouldn't go on those areas. It's a solid at room temperature. Drug stores may have it - not sure - natural food stores do, and also I've found it at a garden center (since gardeners may want to pamper their hands in their "off" hours).

It's what I use for chamois lube. Anything that's suitable for chamois cream is safe for a little farther back. Shea butter, Body Glide, DZ Nuts, whatever you choose.
