I always keep it simple with asparagus. Olive oil, salt, pepper. Sometimes balsamic

i do the same for broiling brussel sprouts (I only started liking brussel sprouts when I had them this way from the WFM salad bar)

coat in olive oil, add a bit of sea salt and pepper, and throw on the grill. I've also put them in a high oven, turning them once or twice.

Can't remember the brand but it's just a reduced fat margarine type spread so it doesn't melt well.

I love garlic but I'd never do that to a sweet pea!
