I had a Kia Sportage, and it really put me off all things Kia.

On the good side: I rolled one within the first month of having it, and we were all fine, so I replaced it with the same. (I actually made money on this, but I don't recommend it as a way to make a living.)

On the neg side:
Hub caps fell off repeatedly.
Developed oil leak in 1st year which dealer was unable to repair.
Latch to release spare tire hitch broke, and repair required major surgery.
Latch broke again shortly after paying for major surgical repair. Just removed the whole mess, and carried the spare in the back from then on.
AC barely cooled off the car.
Parts were always unavailable.
Stereo had some anti-theft thing that would make it inoperational at random times.
Worst dealer service in town, but your mileage may vary.
