My first goal was to make it to the CIBA New Year's Day ride which I did. Here are some pics.. http://photobucket.com/albums/a361/m...%20Day%20Ride/
My second goal was to make good on my challenge to my local friend Marlin523 on best mileage for the year, which I have ALSO done so far for 2006 YEAH!!!!!! He doesn't post here or read the forum, (had never heard of Team Estrogen when I mentioned it) but I'm sure he'd NOT be amused by this LOL...
I have ridden the first 2 days of the year and gotten 95 kilometers registered for Virtual Trans-Canadian Highway ride at http://bikejournal.com I'm nearly at the first checkpoint in Nanaimo so I've got a good start on my ride across Canada. As of right now my mileage goal is 5000 with the option of increasing it. I figured I got 2500 miles in 2005 between July and December so I should be able to double that with a full year at least.
I'm going to lose the rest of my 70 pounds by years end, sooner if possible. I'm going to get at least one metric a month [or 12 metrics for the year]
I'm going to get an imperial century first opportunity that I can.
I'm going to ride in the http://hillyhundred.org 2006 Hilly Hundred hopefully both days if I can get my volunteer work scheduled that way AND I'm going to RIDE more of the hills!
I'm going to ride as many http://cibaride.org CIBA rides as possible this year.
I'm going to increase my average speed as best as I can on the Little Navigator That Could and all 46 pounds of her and keep up with the roadies.
I think that's a good start for now...
Here's to 2006 everyone...
Mary
PS: Sorry about the size of the photos..
As of this morning, I'm STILL ahead of Marlin with 59 miles to his 15.. I'm gonna enjoy it while I can
