    How big a tour is it in terms of number of people? On Cycle Queensland we were looking at about 1500 people all up. That's a LOT of tents to go searching in for yours if you get up for a walk in the middle of the night!

    My "must bring" was a small set of personal fairy lights (the ones powered by two AA batteries) which I pegged onto my tent with clothespegs. This made it really easy to find our tent. Until the next year when half a dozen other people did the same!
