I do triathlons. I'm not very creative.

I had a bag of okra in my freezer for the longest time that made a fantastic ice pack after some rides. I told my friend how frozen okra helped me keep riding, and she said, "Okra for the win!"

You know, I figured that out long ago (you often sign your posts with your first name), but for some reason my first instinct is always to read your name as "Evan Gundy."

When I was kid I wanted to be called Mandy, until I had a friend with a sweet chocolate lab named Mandy. Now I associate it as a dog's name.

My nieces call there grandmas Oma but when they were little it was always Ama. For some reason the O was a hard sound for both of them.

(I sign w/ "K" as that is my first inital of my real name and also of my posting name)

I had just gotten my first tin of badger balm in England, and there's also a Badger Inn not too far from my boyfriend's place. And I think they're cute

I LOVE them! I have quite a few now as a local health food warehouse has open public market on Saturdays and have been selling them dirt cheap (who can say no to $1 tins??) I can't possibly use them all but it's fun trying them

The story behind "Itself." I had a cat named Popcorn, he didn't particularly like his name. So I started kidding around with him calling him "The kernels itself." For some reason, "Itself" stuck. He was a tan buff boy whom I have very fond memories of. He passed in 1998...he was such a good boy..

I missed this thread back in May, but found it in an effort to answer somebody's question about changing their screen name.

Indysteel refers to Indianapolis, which is where I lived when I first joined. I was/am rather independent, so there was that, too. Steel refers to my steel Bianchi.

In September of 2009, I moved to a town a bit south of Indy, and was riding a titanium bike that the time. FranklinTi just didn't do it for me though. Now I'm back to the Bianchi, too, but FranklinSteel also sounds stupid. I'll just stick to Indy/Indysteel.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
