Is it too late to sign up again? I am really struggling lately, and buying candy and having it in the house its NOT a good idea. All the exercise in the world won't do anything if I eat junk!

Starting weight 187.5 - an all-time high- bummer

I will be so lucky if I break-even again this week. We just had DS 1st birthday party and I made a chocolate fudge cake with peanut butter frosting covered in peanut butter cups! It was amazing. And I had too much. Plus, we ordered a BLT Pizza which I ate too much of as well. I enjoyed every morsel.

But, it's time to get back to reality and eating healthy again.

Lime - you're doing fantastic. You've dropped so much in the past year - it must feel so good!

I'm glad you enjoyed every morsel. Seriously. I think an indulgence now and again is really important. If we never allow ourselves any treat, we not only get resentful of the whole process, but we also don't learn how to survive "in the real world" of eating day to day once we accomplish our goals.

Afterall, there isn't just "gain weight" or "lose weight" mode. There's also "maintain weight" mode. So, if you have a treat and maintain for a week, that's tells you something about what kind of eating habits you'll need to maintain later to sustain your new healthy weight.

Yes. My father-in-law, three days after his 74th birthday, in April. My grandfather died in January, and my father died in November. All three were in hospice care and all three had family with them at the time of their passing. I was there for my father and grandfather. My husband was by his father's side when he took his last breath.

Three days later my mother was hospitalized with what they thought was a stroke, but turned out to be a really severe migraine -- she's on heavy narcotics now to control the pain -- and my grandmother took a fall, broke a vertebrae and is now in ICU because her blood pressure shot up so high it aggravated an aneurysm near her belly button.

And I can't seem to get back under 230. It's minor compared to all the other stuff going on, but there it is.

205.5, should have checked in on Friday, think I was down a smidge, instead of *up*.
Since I didn't ride this weekend ( http://www.ohpv.org/HPC/index.html ), I helped out with race organization and ate the red vines meant for the racers. Oops, but hopefully it'll come off again OK.

No change for me. 130.5. Which is a relief, because I ate poorly this week. Gotta do better this coming week!

Woohoo...movement! (and some new numbers, too!): 157.9 for me this week.

I'm also now tracking my body fat and my measurements and I lost just shy of 2 lbs of body fat and ZERO lean body mass since last Wednesday, so I'm very pleased. My goals are to lose the fat, keep the muscle...what the scale says is only secondary.

Today I am wearing a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear in two years. It's actually a VERY good thing since I managed to drip white paint on my only other pair of 'nice' work-appropriate jeans! What timing I have, huh?
