    My "son" won at nationals!

Some of you know I hosted a German exchange student a few years ago. After being on 2 pro teams in Europe, a crappy one here in the USA, and starting his own on-line coaching business, he is now attending Mesa State College in CO on a full scholarship. He came in 3d in the road race (45 degrees and rain; he said his legs were blue!) and first in the crit and team time trial for Div. 2.

I am really proud of him. And I feel just a little responsible for convincing him to go to college!

Thanks, guys. His email said that he "just loves collegiate cycling."
Maybe because they are a little nicer than the pros? Whatever, it's been a really positive experience for him. He won all of the primes and got 3 medals and 5 jerseys. He has his "free ride" sewn up for next year.
Not sure how all of my boys got so strong .

Woohoo! I heard the weather out there was pretty miserable. Congrats to him for doing so well, and to you for being such a good influence.
