    Story behind your posting name?

Maybe this has been done before, but I'm curious...

The story behind mine: I choose the first thing that sprang into my head. I see that most names are in lower case, and e.e.cummings (the poet) name (and some of his poems) was always in lower case. I was an English lit major, hard to shake that off...

There is a thread somewhere, but I'll be darned to find the right keywords without spending oodles of time.

I thought you wanted instant fame, e.e..

I like my pseudonym --has double images and meaning of: a flower or a star moving fast across the sky. Other pseudonymn is a different flower...and is translation of my middle Chinese name.

I've been a muppet fan since I was a kid and then got a tattoo of the green guy on my stomach. It just seemed to fit.

My two sons made it up right when we first were emailing. Around 1998. They thought it would be cool if someone asked for our email address, and we said "uforgot" and then they would go "no I didn't, you never did give it to me". It did happen once.

The name is never taken, so I still use it for convenience.

I, as usual, got all confused.

My bike is made by 'Orange', a bike made in the UK and the model is 'Clockwork', limited edition.

Anyway, I should have called myself Orange Clockwork but I got it around the wrong way, hence ClockworkOrange!

Mine's fairly simple - at one time I was heavily involved in a large cycling club here in Orange County (CA) called the Bicycle Club or Irvine or BCI. In fact, at one time I was the membership director and had set up an account as bcipam for inquiries. The name just struck and I have been using it since although on another Board I have changed the name because I no longer ride with BCI. I might have to do that here someday...

Frankly I got tired of club riding - too many goozo crazy people. I now have a nice little group of friends I ride with or I ride alone.

I live in backwoods country, don't go into town but about twice or thrice a week, spend a lot of time housewifin', hiking, (soon to be more) riding... and such.

But that is the title of the cool movie of the 70's ... "Clockwork Orange" (or was it 60's?)
