This is by the way, rare to see so many close to the city. Large groups tend to be alot further away from Vancouver urban areas.

but again, I never saw them. But a few lucky folks, yesterday in Howe Sound, just off the coast of West Vancouver. (which is across the Lion's Gate bridge from the City of Vancouver). Dolphins seem happy, jumping and chasing presumably the herrings.

It really is incredible sight. I did see over 20 white-sided Pacific wild dolphins once upon a time a few yrs. back near Vancouver Island while on wilderness zodiac boat trip. During that trip included black bears (from afar) eating salmon, sea lions and bald eagles.
