I totally agree as well. As a mother of three, there is no way I would put my child on one of these at this age. I have tall kids, too - tallest in their classes. The motor skills aren't developed enough for this task - balance and coordination just aren't there yet - watch the same child try to hit a T-Ball You aren't being over-protective - you are doing what you are supposed to be doing - watching out for the little one that you are entrusted with!
