I work with NP's at my job. I work in sort of an express care type of job. We are open 11a 11p every day, we are part of the ER, we just take the simpler stuff. NOT saying we always get the treat and street one's, sometimes we get perfed bowels, PE's, DVT's, etc, that slip thru the triage and into my dept. I have a DNP, NP, and 2 PA's that work, only one of the PA's is full time, the rest are Per-diems. I know in ROchester , they hire NP's, in fact that area is opening up a slew of Urgent cares' and hiring only PA"s and NP's.
