I thought it was kind of funny and cute as well. I missed the previous "incident" so I don't know what offended people, but for the record, and I really don't want to offend anyone with this, there is no such thing as reverse-sexism, sexism involves a system of power that systematically disadvantages a particular gender (hint, it's not the people in front of a barber shop). So to poke fun at men, even in a much crueler fashion than this would be mean and hurtful, unethical and immoral maybe, but not sexist. Sexism is a broad social condition, not an individual feeling.
"I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. It gives women a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel...the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood." Susan B Anthony
