    I like the baggy PIs, just got a pair. I can only afford one more pair of shorts though so have to choose carefully - I also want a pair of bib-shorts

    No-No - does the plaid shorts come with a front pocket down the leg? It looks like it. I am also considering getting a pair of inexpensive cargo shorts and wearing the liner from my PI shorts...

    There's a very small pocket down one leg. Then two front and two rear. Once you have a good liner, you could certainly grab any pair of shorts you wanted to throw over them.
