    new bike

I love the color of your new bike. My own bebe is also a trek and one the reasons I originally bought it was the comfort of the bontrager saddle. I rode it hard for 4 years before it gave out and I miss it- after several tries I found a terry saddle that I like almost as well but I still think the Bontrager was lovely.

Congratulations on your new A & W colored bike.

    Very nice!

I had a 520 as my first road type bike. It was a 2001 (I think), the rainforest green color.

I used it for road riding and did a couple of loaded tours on it. It rode very nicely but even the smallest size was a bit big for me so I moved on to a little Surly Long Haul Trucker with 26" wheels.

Oooh! I LOVE that copper colour! Very nice.

When you go back to the store, get them to show you how they loosen and tighten the brakes. As the brake wire gets stretched and the brake pads wear down it's very handy to be able to do little adjustments yourself, so that you have good brakes all the time.
