Apparently that family has an unusual way of showing affection, instead of hugs & kisses, they sniff. I had thought perhaps Al and/or Marjo was a dog.

7rider, I threw out my back doing sit-ups. I guess an ab workout that goes a little too far is dangerous to the lower back. I sure am careful about my sit-ups now.

    Eek, 7! Feel better soon.

The ride to work was surprisingly calm. Little wind, clear skies. Beautiful. The ride home was very wet and windy. It was kinda fun riding through puddles- until I got really cold.
3 for 5 this week. Some days I just can't drag my butt outta bed in time to ride...

that is the funny thing - it is my upper back -my rhomboids that I pulled. My chiro was pretty surprised, to say the least ( until sh considered the source I guess! LOL)

I had a great commute. The first time I've gotten to ride this week. Thanks to my daughter sharing her cold with me. I even got to ride in the rain this morning, which is extra double bonus points in my book. bikerHen

The Doppler Radar showed a huge green blob over RI (meaning rain), but I looked outside, and it wasn't raining. I especially like commuting on Sundays, so rain or not, I was riding.

There wasn't a drop of rain, and in fact, the morning ride was mostly sunny. No other cyclists out. I'm guessing the forecast kept them in. I was so prepared to get wet, I wore a wool base layer, a wool jersey, a rain jacket, a cap with a visor under my helmet, and full finger gloves. Well, I did get a little wet--from sweat!

Fun ride. I rode my steel bike, which hasn't seen much action since Spring sprung. Felt so good.

Glad the forecast didn't scare you out of a ride!
