Winter riding is much less about badassery and much more about bundle-uppery. - malkin

"I rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a bike. It gives her a feeling of self-reliance and independence the moment she takes her seat; and away she goes, the picture of untrammelled womanhood."

The beautiful Osprey soaring overhead, round and round!
I love spring when there is little wind
...............stepping out in the sun today and walking and while stopping a few times, listening to the birds and noticing different flowers that have now bloomed.
Funny really, usually I am dashing about like a blue a*sed fly never having time to notice much at all.
Life is good.

Well, following along Tuckervill's post, watching my 27 yr. old son ride like the wind on our group ride, despite the fact he's riding my younger son's 10 year old Serotta, with a regular double, flat pedals, and a vicious headwind. Never mind that the nice Craft jacket I bought him already has so much grease on it, it looks 100 years old and his tights have a zipper missing.
And seeing his closest friend, who he met when we moved to MA in 1990, riding with us, too, was inspiring. He spent all summer doing a self supported tour in Europe....
the cabbage and swiss chard sprouting in my garden...
the first farmer's market of the spring downtown-- and having trouble finding a place to lock up my bike there, because there were already so many bikes parked here there and everywhere...
New one - just happened the first time today:
Thinking about taking the bike around a corner to go on a street I've not yet been on and my bike just does it. No prompting from me or being afraid I will fall over
Ok, so far only one of my bikes will do this, my Trek still seems to require more attention in cornering, but this made me REALLY smile on my first ride on my new LHT todayIt was COOL!
