Looking for a Brooks B68 'S' cheap?

Not affiliated.. and they are a legitimate company.. I just got mine (in Honey) yesterday 5 days after ordering it Despite the fact that it said "no box" mine did indeed come in the original brooks box... still attached to the hang card. It's new and unused.

Shipping is around $13.. but still, a great deal! Now if only my new seatpost will get here so I can try it out on the mixte.. it took me long enough to dial in the position of my Selle SMP that I don't want to mess with a good thing on my Trek...

I just bought a B68 from Wallbike and was starting to panic that I'd missed an opportunity....whew....only the "S" model.

Hate to whisper bad omens, but I've ridden both an SMP and a Brooks and dialing in the Brooks is a lot fussier than dialing in the SMP. Get the set back first and then keep tweaking the angle. When you get it dialed right, it will be a great saddle.

Oh, and Ben's has been in the bike business as long as Milwaukee's been a city....ok, maybe not that long, but a long time. They're known for fixed gear and they carry their own line of bikes produced by Waterford. That said, I also am not affiliated nor will I swear by them, but I'd trust them. Many of the people I ride with do all their business with Ben's. I've got a good LBS closer than them so I've never been.

I bought my saddle there as a "no box" as well. No problems and very good service. I'd do business with them again.

heh.. well I decided to throw caution to the wind when my seatpost didn't come today, and put the brooks on my trek... I didn't adjust anything, just eyeballed it. Oh my.. jeans and all, and it was great even though all I did was a short 2.5 mile test.. but it was as much of the "aha" moment that my SMP had originally been after all of the other much too narrow saddles I tried (you know, the ones crushing my lady bits since my bones were quite literally "over" the sides). I can "feel" how close my sitbones are to the edge on the brooks too.. I would say I have maybe 1/2"-3/4" on each side of the saddle to use as wiggle room. I might get to get in a longer ride later to really see how it feels.

I think I'm really gonna like it.. maybe I need to buy another for my trek. I like the way the SMP fits my pelvis, but the brooks feels more supportive since it's not squishy (and bummer that the less padded SMP saddles are all so much narrower) and being more t-shaped I don't get the rub in the leg/butt crease either

I have the B-67S on my Kona commuter (same as the 68, but sprung). I ride in jeans every day to & from work. No issues at all. The t-shape and nice flat sitbone area are the perfect combination for me. I'm glad yours seems to be working well for you.

The SMP Strike was the first saddle that didn't make my nether regions scream, but, alas, it was too soft. After ignoring the Brooks for a long time (a vegetarian riding leather?), I finally gave it a try.

My latest purchase was for a new/used Terry (picked up for a song)--I just cannot imagine not riding the Brooks. I've gotten pretty good at setting the angle now. Hope you enjoy your new saddle!

I'm resurrecting this post.
I just received my Brooks B18 that I bought from Benscycle.com (ordered it on Tuesday and it came today).
It said it didn't come with a box, but it arrived in the original box, with the proofhide, the cleaning cloth AND a rain cover!

I him-hawed for about 3 months before biting the bullet and buying it. I have to get a new seatpost now (because it's a double rail and my current seat posts won't work), but I'm SOOOO excited to put it on my commuter and ride like the wind.

Thanks for posting this sarahspins, as I never would have known about this site. I just couldn't justify, or even afford, spending $160, but for $80, the decision wasn't too hard.

Yeah, BOTH of the ones (I did buy another for my trek, which is now on my Felt) I ordered came in boxes.. just like brand new!

I was oogling over the B18.. let us know how you like it once you get that new seatpost

Y'know, it's a good thing Ben's doesn't have fab-o prices on B67 and B68 regular nose saddles, cuz then I'd buy one, and then I'd have to buy a bike to put it on, and then I'd be bankrupt...

^ The saddle I just bought is a black Brooks B67s from Permaco. It was $69 plus $12 for shipping. I was very happy with the customer service, and it was delivered in 3 days.

I just wanted to bump this and say thanks for the tip. I ordered a Flyer S today for my around town bike.

I'll let everyone know how it works. I had a Brooks failure on my road bikes (B72 then B17), but think the springy thing on the townie may be the ticket.
