Congrats both to Gowest and Kenyonchris! I love the photos!

I'm also married to my cycling partner. We went mountain biking for our 3rd date over 8 years ago. We are now predominantly roadies, but we are still each others favorite riding partner.

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

Our honeymoon (we haven't taken it yet) is to ride SeaOtter and Breakaway from cancer this month. We leave a week from Friday. In between, we will bike around San Francisco.
Now, if I could only get him to mountain bike....

My cycling partner and I have been married for 30 years . He started riding about 12 years ago, after being the coach potato in the family. He got me to come out of the gym and ride about 10 years ago.
I do ride with others, but mostly him. Our whole life revolves around cycling and other outdoor activities now, with a lot of restaurant eating thrown in there, too.

Congrats and thanks for sharing pics!

My husband and I are going to attempt (LOL!) to become cycling partners this year, our 10th year as a pair. We've enjoyed hiking, camping, kayaking, cooking, golfing and snowboarding together so I can't wait for summer to come (or at least this snow to end) so we can get in the swing of something new

My husband can only do short rides around town due to serious back injury BUT he's an amazing mechanic and ride support person so it works out *perfectly*!

Congratulations to those newlyweds. I hope you remain cycle partners for many years to come! It is a wonderful thing to do together! Enjoy it and each other!!! My best wishes to you both.

I have been married to my DH for 36 wonderful years and we started as hikers and bikers (only for commuting, though). We camped and hiked on our honeymoon and then did alot of long distance hiking, kayaking, skiing, and 12 years ago, took up cycling again as empty nesters. It has become our passion. He is riding the Southern Tier right now (in central Texas) and I will ride GOBA in June. One of us has to be in town for his 90 yr old dad, so we take turns going on rides. This is his big year!!! I had three big years in a row and when he retired this year, it was his turn for a big ride. Our cycle days together will come soon enough and we will remember these times with his dad.

My husband starting riding in college and racing mountain bikes. For our first anniversary he took me to the bike shop to buy my first roadie. I am slow but he still is teaching me to mountain bike and hopes one day I will get the confidence I want to mountain bike race. We used to road ride together all the time but now I let him live his dream and train for racing, I just ride my ride. I do like to help him at races by being his super pit crew and cheerleader. It is great that we can talk about cycling though and we do ride together when we have time.

    Thumbs up married cycling partners

First of all- Congratulations on your marriage!

Although the man I maaried 37 years ago wasn't my cycling partner then, he is now and we cycle together as often as possible (work and life restraints etc.) and plan to do so well into our ripe old age and senility.

Congratulations to the Gowest & also to KenyonChris- Wonderful, happy pictures.

I will be celebrating 25 years with my DH next week. My DH has been running and cycling (mostly commuting) for 5 years, and cycling is something I started in the summer. We have had a variety of mutual interests over the years (birding, and music especially) but cycling together has has been a very positive force in our relationship and we have grown closer over the last year through our hours together on the bikes.
