    Spokane River Centennial Trail

    To disable ads, please log-in.

My son just got a new job in Spokane and will be moving there the end of April. I told him to expect visits from his MOM this summer! I will finally get to ride the Spokane River Centennial Trail. It goes to Coeur d'Alen Idaho doesn't it? Any way if anyone who lives in the Spokane area would like to meet me on one of my summer visits to see my son let me know. Maybe we can hook up for a ride on the trail? Does anyone know if there is a map of this trail anywhere?

    Spokane riding

    Hey Sue,
Here's a link to information on the trail - maps too - via the Riverside SP site: http://www.riversidestatepark.org/centennial_trail.htm - I've enjoyed several rides on all or part of it; it's great.
Also, the annual Tour de Lacs event is great; here's that link in case you want to check it out for consideration:http://www.roundandround.com/TourDes...ourDesLacs.php

My two really good friends (they're married) live in Spokane and we drove to the water park over in that area and we saw people riding along what I believe was that trail. It looked so nice! I had wanted to ride on it. The chances of you and I ever being there at the same time are slim (we only go over there once a year or so), but I hope you're able to go ride on it sometime! I think the next time I go visit I'll plan to check it out too!

Thanks for the links Mary! They even have a page where you can purchase new maps of the trail. It sounds like a pretty good map too.

It says the maps have directions to access points and each trail head is marked with a number that coincides with the access directions on the back of the map. The new map also highlights popular trail heads. I'm going to order one for myself.

And I've heard about the Tour de Lacs ride. A friend did it and absolutely loved it. A ride to put on my to ride list.

I think it's a trail worth checking out Jessica! I will definitely give you a report after riding it this summer! You do the same if you beat me to it!

Sounds good! Now, if only all trails could be as well marked as this one sounds...

OMG! How did I miss this! I guess it's because my darn work has kept me too busy the last few weeks. I am your source for Spokane cycling. The Centennial Trail, Trail of the CDA you name it I ride it and more, just ask. The Centennial Trail is lovely and for the most part well marked. Just give me a holler when your coming and we'll ride. bikerHen

Forgot to add Tour d' Lacs is a blast. Several of us are planning to ride it again this year. There's always room for one more!

Thanks bikerHen! I will definitely give you a holler when I come over to visit my son this summer. I told him I would be over a few times once school is out for summer break. Double the pleasure for me. A visit with my son and riding in a new area . . . the Spokane area. I can't wait! He's all moved in and starts his new job on Monday. What a whirlwind of a month this has been!

There's a great organized ride this weekend. Lots of pretty scenery and hills. Maybe you should pop over and check that your son has gotten all settled!

Just shoot me a PM when you're coming over. bikerHen
