That blue-black sky just before the sun truly sets.

Snow on the Santa Cruz Mountains and Mt Hamilton.

Dogs and puppies.

Coming down a hill at 35-45mph on a bike.

Smell of dry grass on the hills in the summertime (makes me remember cardboarding down 'em).

The smell of early morning.

The smell of rain on dry pavement.

The feeling you've hit some pedaling rhythm on the bike and it's just smooth.

My own shadow on a grassy or snowy slope beside me, when I'm pedalling.

My son's irrepressible sense of humor, that bubbles out even when he's pissed off and just woken up.

A magpie marching officiously across my lawn, doing his morning inspection.
