Do they really run as large as their size chart indicates?

No mediums left though... I bought a pair several pair of the women's "classic" in large. I loved them, but I have lost weight and they are too big. My husband really liked the baggy mountain shorts for his work commute- better than the old cargo shorts he was using.

If anyone is interested, I would like to sell the pair of Large for my cost- $15 plus shipping....

No, I mean, I'm right on the line between Small and Medium in most brands, but the BlackBottoms size chart puts me in an XS. I don't wear an XS in any shorts or pants. That's what I meant by running large... do I trust their size chart? Whatever size you are in other things, do you take the next smaller size in BlackBottoms?

I was confused by the size as well, because the small waist size is comparable with other brands (Sugoi/PI) but the hips are much bigger. I ordered a small, because they didn't have the xs available. Hopefully they fit. For $20 I can wear bibs a little too big, I suppose.

    Size matters

I'm with Oakleaf, I want to know whether the size chart BlackBottom publishes is true and accurate. I found with PI, Descente, Terry and Shebeest that they are way off for me. In fact the only size chart I've ever found to be accurate is Etxe Ondo's.

GreenbeanVW- did you buy men's bibs, or do they have women's?

I'm also looking for baggie shorts that really fit. My experience is the inner short fits and the outer short is tight. If the outer short fits, the inner short is too big and the chamois bunches up or cuts into my inner thigh/pelvic floor region. How are the BlackBottoms?

I bought the Millcreek Canyon bibs, which have the same 8-panel Amara chamois as they have listed in the women's shorts.

The bibs arrived today and the small fit just fine! I normally wear a medium in Shebeest and PI, and a small in Sugoi. There is minimal padding in the chamois, but I don't like a lot. They seem to be a good bib, especially at that price. The only thing I don't like is the ultra shiny material, but I can deal.

I was all set to order but when it showed shipping charges of $15.00 for a sale priced $20 pair of shorts I decided I didn't really need them.

Wow I didn't realize shipping was that much! I live just a few miles from where it was shipped, so it was much less than that. Ouch.
