I really wanted to take a rest day, but when I saw the forecast, I figured I'd better ride today while the weather was still nice. I just did 22 miles, but there was an exhausting headwind, and I feel like I climbed a mountain.

It is a beautiful day in Utah! I did a 23 mile club ride this morning. It was just gorgeous.

It's supposed to be 50 here today - just did a quick 14 mile loop with my brother...first time with the road bike out in 2010. Blue sky, cardinals chirping, and a raging Mississippi River at St. Anthony Falls. It felt great.

Did a 70-miler today with three great guys and had my personal best average. It was a beautiful ride and they treated me to lunch afterwards.

I woke up at 5 a.m., took a look at the radar, rolled over and went back to sleep. By the time yoga class ended - about the same time the club ride would have been finishing up - we got a couple of sprinkles, then it stopped again. So I decided to take my commuter bike to the grocery store - hey, three miles is three miles. As soon as I paid for my groceries and walked out of the store, that's when the rain started.

I did the 27 mile CRW ride out of Concord today. It was supposed to be the Sudbury Bridges ride, but that would have involved wading (or maybe swimming) so the ride was moved northward. Counting the miles from my house to the ride start, I did 39 miles today.

I wasn't going to ride today since there was a 70% chance of rain, but then my neighbor who has just started doing time trial racing texted me and asked if I wanted to go with her on a really slow ride because she has to do heart rate training. At the time I agreed, it wasn't raining. We took off, did 22 miles, flat. Half way through it started pouring down rain, and remained that way for at least 8 miles. I hate riding in the rain! I was so happy to get home and into a hot shower! But I'm glad I went out and put the miles in. It was short so it wasn't that bad.

I envy all of you guys riding around Stow, Acton, Sudbury - thems my old stomping grounds. a lot prettier and more interesting than the plains and flat roads of houston.

    ride safe and have fun.
