Maybe try out some other kind of activity for a little while, to take your mind off the things that your body is rejecting? It's up to you, perhaps you can grow in a different "direction" for a little while.
You see it just makes things a little easier when others understand and what you have written is good advice. So, have decided not to just forget about riding for a while BUT to try and pace myself far more.

Yesterday, only 2 miles and today it was 3 miles. Then I am making sure when I get back home, I don't run up the slopes and steps to the front door but walk quite slowly. BUT IT'S HARD, although it is helping.

For the time being, I am going to be more self-disciplined with it all.

I go back to see my GP next Wednesday and I do not want to go back on the steroids.
