I'm enjoying having two really high quality bikes. I don't think I need any more.

Luna Eclipse that I purchased in 2005
Bike Friday Pocket Rocket Pro that I purchased in 2008.

I also have a Jamis Coda Comp that I purchased in 2003. It was my commuting bike when I was a commuter, and it served me very well. It is now my city/errand bike.

My goal to ride in Chile has been put on hold (I was supposed to be riding there now). I'm not one to keep track of mileage, although that would probably help me meet my other goals: do a century, ride in the Texas Hill Country, and do another tour yet to be decided. Maybe C&O Canal; maybe out west somewhere. I also want to continue to improve my daily riding and use my bike for transportation whenever possible (errands 5 miles from home or less, for example).

Hey Tulip - if you ride the Hill Country let me know, it could be the first time that I get to meet someone from TE

Who had bought a heavy bike (close to 30 lbs.), not because it was an efficient bike, but because it "looked good"?

Maybe we're starting a new trend...instead of buying a fur coat, buy a bike!
