    Redrhodie - love your Merckx collection

    My bikes:

    * 2002 Colnago Ovalmaster (The Fred Rodriguez US Nat'l Champ paint scheme - flashy!) This has super easy gearing and is generally set up for brevets, though I have stripped it down to be my everyday bike since it's my only bike right now.
    * 2004 Eddy Merckx TEam SC - stolen a week and a half ago but still in my heart. This bike and I did a 600k together and most of my double centuries
    * Giant something or other MTB (I don't MTB a lot)
    * Meridian tandem (either DH or I ride with DD. They did a century a couple years ago and she and I may do one this year.)
    * Coming soon: 2010 Pegoretti Love 3 w/ Record 11

    The Merckx probably had 20 - 25,000 miles on it when it was stolen. I ride 5000 miles in a good year (assuming no strange injuries or illnesses requiring hospitalization. )

    Goal for this year is just to have fun and see my Death Ride team succeed at their event. I'm head coach for TNT's death ride team here in Nor Cal, and it'll be my 6th DR I think. This fall I may do a double century with a friend who wants someone to ride with (and she and I are perfectly matched). We'll see.

    I'd like to do more doubles and brevets and such (and one day I will do the 508 either solo or with one teammate), but not this year. DR coaching takes up enough of my time and I have a teenage daughter who's not going to be around for that much longer - that sounds grim; I just mean she'll be off to college in 4 years.

    Only one bike - Trek Madone 5.2 WSD
    My goals are to get stronger in the hills and to ride well when I visit North Georgia for Memorial Day. I usually ride 4 days a week and average between 150-180 miles most weeks. I don't like to set mileage goals since I can become a little obsessive - riding when I should rest or in questionable weather.
