Bikechick... reading back a few posts here. You'll be fine!!! The thing about racing is you can do it as your own pace!! You don't have to run it in any certain time, you just need to finish!

When you're out there doing the HM, don't get distracted about who's running next to you, who's running faster, slower, etc... just listen to your body, listen to how your legs feel, listen to your breathing and adjust your running so "you" are comfortable to go the distance. I have done countless races and I know the 'zone' I need to be in to go the distance. When you're out there training... listen to your body, and find what is 'comfortable' for you... and keep that in your memory... that's how you race, that's how you make it to the end... especially when you are beginning.
