    My first time

well, at least in 5 years.
    Things went pretty well,
Arizona tea bottle won't stay in a bottle cage
The only other was when the train I wanted to board showed up, I thought I had left my computer at the bike station. It was in my purse. I changed on the train rather waiting till I got to work
    see how the evening goes

They just opened a new bike station(http://bikestation.org/claremontca/index.asp )
I didn't want to leave my bike out, and this is secured parking.
    I got my sticker:

    and rack:

    The bikestation:

    inside:

They have a selection of Park tools, water fountian, and storage lockers
and there's a bike shop across the street:

I'm debating taking the streets or bike path home . it probaly wont be until after dark

The bike station is beautiful, and so is the 'bent.

I made a trip clear across town, and another trip halfway across town, so I actually got 20 miles in today, which was nice. Traffic was very kind. I started wondering if I'm going to miss cycling in traffic when we move to Kirksville, 1/5th the size of Columbia. I decided probably not.

    Fredwina,

I like your Bacchetta Giro. The red paint is really an eye catcher ... very nice. I've got a Giro, too. Mine is green and has the recurve seat. It's a fun ride, isn't it?

Attached is a picture of mine.

    addictive

I took the streets . there's a couple place on the trail where I Have troubles getting a light. Had a few close, but I felt better not running a light. Plus, it does have graffiti problems(gangs)
About 20 minutes later, good to know, since i don't always catch the same train going back (no way to predict it in the am either)
Claremont is one of my favorite place. You have to love the "city of Trees and Phds"

kmehrzad - the Giro is quite a sweet bike. Not quite as speedy as my Strada, but it can do a lot more.
TriGirl - Pretty neat, but for $15/month.. The only thing is that they could have a "private room" for chnaging, but it well lit to discourage theives
