I called Bike Friday to ask about shortening the reach if I decided to keep the bike (I've been wavering back and forth on selling or keeping the bike, as it's a real gem) and they suggested having an adjustable stem built to mirror the one on my New World Tourist. Cost for having this done is $135 plus $13 shipping. If there's anyone in my area (No. VA) who may be interested in a test ride, please let me know before I 'pull the trigger' on getting an adjustable stem made.

With the componentry I have on the bike, the rep said a brand new PR of this type would sell for $2,800.00.

I'm about your height and inseam, so if the reach is long on you it would also be too long for me. So, given that I've spent many thousand $ this week on my bathroom plumbing and repairs, I will abstain from thinking about buying a new bike.
