I've been following this thread with interest....

I actually use rechargeables in everything, but prefer batteries that can be user replaced. Why? Because otherwise, the entire mp3 player heads to the landfill when the battery no longer holds a charge... I don't think that was the OP's plan, but it's a different perspective
