ISO mp3 player that does not have rechargeable batter

Actually, I have the Sansa clip plus and you can set it to play a single playlist continuously. I don't really like the navigation features (it's not intuitive for me), but overall, I'm happy with it. It was inexpensive, it's very light and small, and it works well.

I LOVED my old Rio Forge Sport that totally met all of your requirements, but they don't make it anymore. I lost mine and I was looking for another one when I found the Clip. The Rio used AAA batteries, had playlists, was small and durable and it had room for an SD card to expand the memory. Mine currently has a 2GB card in it (that again, I wish I could find!) that I never even came close to filling up.

Yes, I was just rereading the documentation for the Clip, and it looks like I was just being dumb about the repeat thing.

Since it's so cheap, I think I'll try it.

I have an old RIO - I stopped using it when I got a free I-Pod. If anyone really loves RIOs it's yours for postage. I think I have an extra memory card for it somewhere too. Been dropped a few times, but always worked fine.

I liked it because it was one of the first solid state MP3 players (no hard drive like the original I-Pod) so I could shake it around as much as I wanted without having to worry about it

If I didn't already buy a Clip, I might have taken you up on this offer. Of course, I'd rather just find my old one so that I could have my old playlists AND my old memory card...damn it.

It's got more than 4x the memory that I need and yet I could add more if I had to. Price is so low I won't be upset if/when the rechargeable battery kicks the bucket, and it's the perfect size for gym. And it's red.

Now I need to figure out how to remember to recharge it on a regular basis. I'm hoping once a week will be sufficient.

I have an old Sansa C140 1gb MP3 player that someone gave me. It uses 1 AAA battery. I went through all our ripped albums on our computer and picked out a bunch of favorite songs, my playlist, and put them on the C140. I set it on shuffle. It works great!

Look on ebay. You may be able to find a New Old Stock Sansa C140 there. Cheap.

We also have a 4gb Sansa Clip +. It recharges by USB on the computer, but it works great too.

Not sure about other MP3 players, but I know you can get a little battery pack that holds 4 AA or AAA batteries and gives backup power to I-Pods. I'd guess if you can get them for the I-Pod that there must be the same thing for other brands too.

This is what I have (except mine is black) - takes one AAA battery- I've had mine about 4 or 5 years, been dropped enough times that the battery cover has to be held on with tape, it's been thru a lot and still works great. Easy controls. Good sound, but could be better with better quality earbuds I guess.

I got mine directly from Creative.com but I checked, and they don't show it anymore. Guess they are out. But you might find it online elsewhere.

Also, a friend found one (brand name I have never heard of) at Best Buy.com. Only two choices of MP3 that took AAA battery. He liked one but not the other. He has used this one for at least a year now, still likes it.
