    Ironic Pink Fenders

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Same ride, new fenders.

I think of them as my "ironic pink fenders," since I'm not a pink-type girl at all but I love the pink there. Next time I need new bar tape and/or saddle I may go pink with those, if there are such things.

    Beautiful!

(I was just in Juanita this afternoon: from now on I shall be on the lookout for an ironically pinked bike. I have the ironic "mudflap girl" flaps on my heart-bedecked black Surly Cross Check. Say "Hi" if you see me!) http://buddyflaps.com/fancy.htm and hearts from TE http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodFR_010.html

ETA: is that reflective tape on your crank-arms?

When I see black and pink together I can't help but think of Good n' Plenty candy.

I like Good N' Plenty candy.

We should get together for a ride some time! I'm out and about on my bike constantly. And yes, that is reflective tape on the crank arms. I'm not sure it does any good, but I'm all for more reflective everywhere. Speaking of that, I need to get some reflective tape on my new fenders...

Oooh, I like that tape placement. I'm thinking it'd be a good thing for side visibility, so I'm gonna do the same on my commutermobile. More reflective tape, more better!

And yes, we need to ride! We all should do another Team Estrogen Ride To Redhook sometime in the next couple months!

The spokees are so much fun! I ordered 2 or 3 packages, and it was enough to hit every other spoke on each rim with a couple left over to stick here and there.

Someone else (I can't remember who, darn it!) posted pics of her bike with the daisy spokees scattered over the tubes of her frame, and it looked great!

    They are surprisingly bright.

I LOVE the ironic pink fenders!!! In fact, your whole bike is soooo pretty.
I didn't even know the spokees stickers existed. Now that I do- looks like my commuter is getting some more bling! Woot!

    Juanita represent!

Hey K Fergos and Knotted Yet, I grew up in Juanita, I'm a Finn Hill gal!
And to drag this back on topic, my goal for this summer is to ride Juanita Drive from Kenmore to Spud's, or the other way round. Have you done that? Which way is better to go, start in Kenmore or start at the beach? For the rest of you who are wondering, the crest of the hill is in the middle, no matter which end you start from.

    I love the pink fenders.

I love pink accents. I have pink bartape at the moment but I am going to be getting pink hoods so I am thinking about going with silver bar tape next time. The pink bottle cages also match the trim on my Madone.
