I have plans of doing the Virtual Trans-Canada Highway ride on bikejournal.com.
http://www.transcanadahighway.com/
The Trans-Canada Highway between Victoria (BC) and St. John's (NF) is the world's longest national highway with a length of 7,821 km (4,860 mi.) The midpoint of the highway is at Batchwana Bay, about 65 km north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
I guess that I'd say then that my mileage goal for 2006 is at LEAST 4860 miles as of right now. I figure I've got 2095 (including indoor spinning) miles as of right now and that's been in 5 months of riding. If I can stay healthy and riding all winter or at least spinning my legs off when it's too cold to get outside, I should be able to do it eh??
Edit: Since my Mother is Canadian (Newfoundlander) and many of us are ADOPTING a home Province, I am riding for Team Newfoundland.![]()
