    Sidi--sizing.

I've found a reasonable deal on Sidi Genius 5s. Just a quick question on the sizing: I've seen some reviews that say they tend to run half a size small. Can anyone comment?

not really sure, i have seen them being re-sold (ebay and here on the forums) due to them running smaller than expected. which is weird since european sizes tend to be dead on. i hate ordering stuff and having to send it back due to sizing, but you might want to order up a half size. good luck, my man says sidis are the best shoes.

I think they are close, but think they do run narrower then some. I'm not normally a wide, but wear Sidi Mega's as I like the bigger tow box. I've also heard the half sizes give you about the same result, but I've not tried any.

I think they tend to run small. I'm a 36 in every other brand of shoe, but a 37 in Sidis. I really did like my Sidis, but I've switched to Specialized and they have some real advantages - wider toe box and carbon soles available in the smallest sizes.

Most of my casual and running shoes are 39 in Euro sizing, but I need a 40 in Sidis (I have Dominator 5s, I think). I also have a wide foot. If my foot were "normal" I probably could have gotten by with a 39.5. I did find that they seemed to stretch a hair. They feel less snug now than they did new. They really feel great after a few wearings.

I had thought about going for men's, since they would be wider, but I have a feeling the heels would be WAY roomy, then. As it is the women's heels aren't all that snug. I have a weirdly narrow heel compared to my forefoot.

I have a relatively narrow foot, but it's also a little higher-volume than average, I guess. And my right foot's a bit bigger than my left.

I'm getting three different answers for my Euro shoe size...my normal everyday sneakers are 9.5 US. Their label says that's 40.5 Euro. The size chart provided by TE says that I should be a 42 or a 42.5. The size chart from Zappo's (you can get these things there?! I'm shocked!) says 40.5-41. The chart from Performance (they have one that compares all cycling shoe brands they carry, which is nice) says 42. I'm now very confused.

Apparently I have giant feet...or at least, by comparison with most people here.

I wear a size 5.5 or 6 US, squarely a 36 Euro. My road shoes are 38s and my mountain shoes are 37s, both Sidis. They are narrow and since I have a bunion, I really need a bigger size. I wish the women's came in the mega width.
