This will sound super wimpy following Susan's post but hey...I'm trying!
I managed 15 laps in 40 minutes (with lots of rest) - my longest swim yet at 750 meters. I had on my new HRM watch and hit the lap timer with each return to the start, so I know that my counts are correct AND what my times were. My goal is to reduce the rest interval, increase the number of laps and then eventually, increase the swim speed.
To that end, I signed up for swim lessons starting on Monday. There are only three of us signed up for the class, so I should get some decent one on one time. I hope this helps and isn't a waste of my $! I also like that the lessons are at 5:30pm, so I will be forced to leave work on time. I hope to build a habit (and break in my boss and the others I work with to accept that I leave by 5 two days a week!).
