Murphy sounds like a typical Murphy---short legs, thick neck, determined (stubborn?) nature!

That picture of him with the quills in his nose still makes me cringe!!

Give him a kiss from a fellow Murph!

Last comment on him, I talk about him too much....
Prior to Murphy I named him "Sargeant Shorty", but my mom said that was offensive and she'd be angry with me if I called him that. Then he was Napoleon for awhile, but friends started calling him Nappy and that makes me think of the British term for a diaper. Then he was named....
When I finally settled on Murphy, my mom asked "How can you name a German dog Murphy?!"
Murphy was the first of his many names that he clearly answered to. He used to sit and growl at humans on the TV, but he watched an entire Ellen DeGeneres stand up routine on HBO with fascination and no growls, sitting nicely and staring at her. At the end of the show, a picture of a dog was put up with a note with dates and 'dedicated to the memory of Murphy' - so I figured Murphy was his name.

I have several Ruff Wear products, great company, great line. thanks for the tip, though.

    I love that photo, Zen!

Here's another one of MitchMutt. I know I've posted pics of him before, but for some reason I kinda like this one (even though it's kinda boring).

Mitch napping amongst all my bike debris:

Despite the fact that it's a tight squeeze, he always seems to find a way to squish himself in to all my bike stuff. I tell myself that he's "guarding" it. All that bike-guarding is very tiring.

Zen, is that pooch getting a hickey?

Mitch looks like a big old cuddle bear!
