I decided to take a photo of Murphy at the same spot as he got the thorn in his eye. After taking the photo, I followed his eyes to see Finn way up above my head in the tree, a few feet from an unconcerned squirrel. Didn't get a photo, as the reason the squirrel was unconcerned was that Finn was about to fall. I managed to slow her fall and she's fine. But, I like the look of 'what the...'? on Murphy's face.



A few seconds later, as I was attending to stupid Finn, Murphy tried to climb the tree, guess he thought it looked like a good idea. My stubby legged, chubby, old man made a good 6 inches up the tree before falling onto his back. Love his can-do spirit!

He was obviously absent the day they handed out legs. I think he was built by a committee, and the subcommittee on legs was dissed by all of the other committee members.
I have to keep him on a strict diet, when he gets to ~20 lbs his belly starts dragging on the ground. He and my other dog, Finn, are both 19-20 lbs, but she can stand over him.
He gets around pretty good, though.
