Of all the shorts that are currently in my rotation (PI, Shebeest, Sugoi)...I like my Sugoi RS shorts the best. Coming in as a close second, would be the Pearl Izumi P.R.O. bibshorts.

I think if the Castelli shorts I got (the Visio 1--I found the black ones for about $50...) don't work out, I'm trying the Sugoi Evolution shorts, or perhaps Pearl Izumi, though I haven't found one I like yet (why are they all so short?).
At least I don't leave slime trails.

The PI Ultrasensors are not short...on me (I'm 5'6") they hit right around 2 inches above my knee...which for me, is the perfect length. On the otherhand...I do have a pair of PI Short Attack Shorts, and those ARE the shorter length...hitting at about mid-thigh on me. I prefer the longer ones.

I just started using the Gore Bikewear Power shorts. The pad feels funny off the bike but seems to disappear when you are on the saddle. With our terrible weather I haven't used them on a long outdoor ride but they have been great on 25+ mile rides on the rollers.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...
