I have a pair of PI sugar knickers and I think the chamois is a bit thick (hasn't caused problems but it feels bulky off the bike, and immediately when I get on, but then I forget about it after a minute or two) but as far as where it's placed, that's pretty good for me.. my sit bones actually land in the padding (they've been completely 'off' the padding on some shorts I've tried) and it doesn't feel too far back for me.. i actually have more pad up front on these than I'm used to with some of my other shorts, but that may have more to do with the shape/length of the pad itself, not just the placement.

I haven't done any long rides with these yet.. so I might feel different after 25+ miles than I do after my usual 10-15 mile rides.
