That is the site where I first found my tires. It has great info about technique and safety! I think lph mentioned it first, but I'm not sure. Anyhow, it is a great resource.

My sweetheart does a LOT of winter riding. I'm not quite up to that level yet. Maybe if I steal the Pugsley for a bit and get myself acquainted with the snow.

I saw a Pugsley in person 2 weeks ago. I think you could get through anything on one of those!

I want one sooooooo bad.... (bike lust! bike lust! bike lust!)
    But I don't need one.
Man, there are so many bikes I want, it's just ridiculous. We hardly ever get snow nor ice here, yet I feel a deep abiding yearning for an ice bike. Criminy!

I've just been surfing the net for one. Not that I can justify getting one. But ever since I saw it, I couldn't stop grinning. That looks like one crazy FUN bike. Someday maybe...

Feel the love: http://surlybikes.com/frames/pugsley_frame/ http://surlybikes.com/parts/endomorph_tire/ However, a brief shortage of Large Marge: http://surlybikes.com/blog/panic_dont_panic._panic/

(did I mention I love Surly, and I love MY Surly?)

I decided I'm going to put together an icebike. I can't afford the Pugsley. I'm hoping to find a decent used mtb, get aggressive spiked tires a rack and fenders. Good for those days when I just can't ride the Kona. My husband said we should name it "The Abominable Snow Bike" or "Abby" for short.
