When planning cycling events, it's always handy to have someone who can give at least just 1hr through the year to help in some way. Trail building, trail maintenance etc.

I think volunteering doesn't have to be a weekly thing either. It's putting your hand up when required....

I made the mistake of stopping at a kiosk where they were selling hand cream & nail buffing stuff. I liked the hand cream & was going to buy it but the guy wouldn't shut up - kept trying to sell me more stuff. I finally walked away with him trailing me & shouting - really embarrassing.

After sneaking in some clues about getting bf a horn (actually, I asked him outright ) he said he although it would be fun, didn't really want one. So, I got him Carolina boots, and a shak. Everyone needs a shak, right?

Now I'm about to start baking cookies. This years collection will be thumbprints, Russian tea cakes and chocolate krinkles.

I won't be evil and link to the women's. They are addictive like crack. And, don't, whatever you do, don't read the wool weenies thread if you want to ever, say, go on vacation, or save for retirement.

Yes, since joining in on that thread in Dec. 2007, I now have 3 full zip Shaks, 2 hoodie ones, and various other Ibex/Smart Wool goodies.
And a wonderful field trip to the Arcadian Shop with Bleeeker St. and Deb W.

I bought my first merino wool item today. Hard to believe I've been reading TE for 3 years and it took this long to try it...
